Tuvabook vs ClubV1: your members now pay for an app the club didn't choose
Since 12 January 2026, members at ClubV1 clubs have been moved onto the shared HowDidiDo app, which costs them £2.99 a year with adverts or £9.99 without, unless the club pays £1,400 a year. Club Systems picked that app, and your office is the one fielding the questions about it. Tuvabook gives your club an app of its own instead: your name and crest on it, free for every member, no adverts, and every green fee paid into the club's account when it's booked.
As a ClubV1 alternative it costs £149 a month for a single club, with no setup fee, month to month, and we move your ClubV1 data across for you, so your members are booking in the club's own app within three weeks of signing.
An app your members open because it's the club's
Your members download your club's app once, free, and book Saturday's 7:30 in a few taps, at the member rate or included in their subs, however your club runs it. Guests and visitors pay in full when they book. When plans change, members move or cancel the booking themselves, inside the rules you set, and the office stops being the booking line.
Visitors book the same way on your website, members join and renew in the app, and the pro shop adds phone and walk-in bookings to the same tee sheet. We're a small UK team, and we work with every club we take on, from the first call to your first Saturday.

The HowDidiDo change in brief
Club Systems, the company behind ClubV1, says it works with more than 2,000 golf clubs in the UK and Ireland and has been going since 1982. It sits in the same group, ClearCourse, as intelligentgolf, and both sets of clubs now share one golfer app: HowDidiDo.
The new app replaced the ClubV1 Members Hub, and members had to register again to use it. Club Systems says the Members Hub runs alongside for now and will be discontinued eventually, with no date given. So the committee has three choices: pay £1,400 a year so members get the app free, let members pay, or give members an app of the club's own. Our guide to the HowDidiDo app cost for clubs does the sums for each.

Clubs Tuvabook suits
We built Tuvabook around booking and paying, in an app your members see as the club’s own. It fits if:
- You want members to book and pay in an app with your club's name on it, at no cost to them and with no adverts.
- Visitor green fees matter to your income, and you want each one paid in full the moment it's booked.
- You'd rather see the price before you sign: £149 a month for a single club, no setup fee, month to month.
- You want the office off the phone: members book and move their own tee times, inside the rules you set.
- You don't have time to migrate data yourself. We do it for you.
See everything included on the Tuvabook pricing page.
Four questions for Club Systems before you renew
Get the replies in writing and keep them for the committee.
- Is the £1,400 club fee for HowDidiDo fixed, and what will it be once the limited time offer ends?
- When will the ClubV1 Members Hub app stop working, and what notice will members get?
- What is our contract term, our notice period, and our next renewal date?
- Can we export our full member list, subscription history, and booking history, in what format, and is there a charge?
Timing a move around the golf year
Autumn and early winter are the easiest window: the tee sheet is quiet, the competition calendar is light, and members can settle into the new app before the spring rush. Line up your ClubV1 notice deadline, your subscription renewal date and your first big competition, and put the new app in the subs letter once, so members renew in it from day one. We’ve set out the eight weeks from committee vote to first Saturday week by week.
Questions clubs ask about leaving ClubV1
- What happened to the ClubV1 Members Hub app?
- On 12 January 2026 Club Systems launched a new HowDidiDo app that replaces the ClubV1 Members Hub. Club Systems says the Members Hub runs alongside the new app for now and will be discontinued eventually, with no date given. Members had to register again for the new app.
- How much does the new HowDidiDo app cost?
- Members pay £2.99 a year for the standard app with adverts, or £9.99 a year without adverts. A club can pay £1,400 a year to cover every member and remove the adverts; Club Systems describes that price as a limited time offer. The HowDidiDo website stays free, with adverts.
- What does Tuvabook cost?
- £149 a month for a single club, with tailored pricing if you run more than one course. No setup fee, and we run month to month. Your members pay nothing for the app, and golfers never pay a booking fee.
- Will we lose our handicaps if we move to Tuvabook?
- No. Your members' handicap index stays with England Golf. They add their CDH ID and index in the app, and we use those for competition entry and handicap limits, so your handicap system carries on just as it does now.
- How long does a move from ClubV1 take?
- Three weeks from signing to taking bookings. We move your courses, tee time structure, prices, and member list across, you check everything over, and only then do your members start booking.
